The Resident Evil series is based on the capcom game Resident Evil, directed by Paul Anderson and starring Milla Jovovich.
The story takes place in the Umbrella (Umbrella) company’s bioengineering laboratory – “Hive”, where hundreds of genetics and bioengineering experts are conducting a scientific research, a virus suddenly broke out and spread rapidly, In order to control the virus and prevent it from leaking to the ground, the supercomputer “Queen of Fire” closed all the hives, and the virus quickly infected all the staff.

The first “Resident Evil” was released in 2002, followed by “Resident Evil: Apocalypse” (2004), “Resident Evil: Extinction” (2007), “Resident Evil: God of War Reborn” (2010), “Resident Evil” Resident Evil 5: Retribution (2012) and Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (2017) are the final films in the series.
In May 2017, Germany’s Konstantin Pictures confirmed that it would restart the “Resident Evil” series with plans to make six films. In October 2020, Germany’s Konstantin Pictures announced the development of a new “Resident Evil” live-action film, more faithful to the game and origin story. The film features a new cast.
